A strong taste with a small touch of acidity. Solid coffee beans, excellent body, and a unique flavour.
This coffee is cultivated among 1200-1700 meters above sea level. These coffee beans are treated with care and love by farmers. Due to the unique environmental circumstances the Tournon has a strong taste with a small touch of acidity. Another advantage is that the Tournon grows in a perfect fitting environment that represent the harvest of solid coffee beans, a good consistency, and a unique flavour. Costa Rica produces Arabica beans only, it is not even permitted to produce Robusta beans. As result, the farmers export high quality coffee due to the producing areas which are located on high altitude.
The Tournon coffee beans has two registered trade marks. The "HT" (also called "HT-PR" or "HTM"), for Hippolyte Tournon, and "SAT", (Sociedad Anonima Tournon). The "HT" is the best of the crop and contain premium quality. The "SAT" is for other qualities. More than 60% of the Tournon Coffee is exported under the "HT" trade mark.
